Private driveway. Private porch. Keyless entrance. The fire pit is shared; if you want the evening to yourself, say so.
Feed is set out for the deer. They come close. Watch them. Please do not approach or try to touch them. Coosawattee River Resort on Eagle Mountain holds the gates, roads, and the clubhouse. The $59 resort fee is included in your stay; we collect it with the booking.
Porch, fire, table
The covered deck is yours, with two antigravity lounge chairs for resting or a quiet nap. Below it, a new stone fire pit sits in the pine straw, with wood available. A table in the trees is there for outdoor meals. The pit is a shared space. If you want it private, say so.
Time by the water
Let the river set the pace.
Sometimes a river day is simply a chair in the shallows, a little conversation, and the trees overhead. Leave room for an unhurried afternoon and time with the people you came with.
Make time for a picnic by the water or an afternoon exploring the river parks. Ask your hosts about local places to visit during your stay.

A quiet cabin, with more to explore
Taste and See Oasis is part of Coosawattee River Resort. Your stay includes a recreational pass for the resort's pools, courts, fitness center, and other shared amenities, with no additional admission charge. These spaces are throughout the resort, beyond your private cabin and porch.
The $59 resort fee is included in your stay and collected once with your booking. Pool seasons and facility hours follow the resort; arcade games may require coins.

Three pools, in every season
Swim year-round in the heated indoor pool at the recreation center. Riverside Pool and Foxhound Pool offer two more places to swim during the outdoor pool season.

Take a picnic to the Coosawattee River, spend a little time by the water, or make an afternoon of exploring the river parks.

A little farther afield
Follow the sound of water.
Amicalola Falls is one of the waterfall outings to make time for in the region. Brenda recommends the view from the midpoint, where the water tumbles down the rock face through the trees.
The trails include stairs between the lower and upper sections of the falls. Choose a route that suits your pace and check current park information before you go.

Ellijay is a hiking and biking capital. It sits toward the Chattahoochee National Forest, the Cohutta Wilderness, and neighboring Blue Ridge. The trails here are quieter than the crowded ones, and they run from easy to very difficult. There are mountain views, historic sites, and many waterfalls. Amicalola Falls is the biggest waterfall in Georgia.
There are parks nearby where you can put in to tube or kayak, or sit in a lounge chair under a tree.
Helen, Hiawassee, Blue Ridge, and Dahlonega sit around it. Downtown Ellijay has antique shops, boutiques, and places to eat. October is Apple Festival season.

- There is a friendly local church body. If you want to go with Brenda and Dick, say so. They will take you.
- The cabin sits between the Atlanta and Chattanooga airports. Pickup is $125 each way. Say so when you book. It is not part of the stay total.
Extra ensuite bedrooms in the main house can be arranged on request. That is a separate stay. You would walk through the owners' home, so we confirm it with you before anyone books it.
